Growth Characteristics New England aster can grow 3 to 7 feet tall. Large, purple flowers with a yellow center mature from August to October. Is easy to maintain. Plant 1-3 feet apart. Makes great cut flowers for arrangements. Plants can be cut to the ground after flowering to promote strong new growth.
